Chris Laverty, Trevor O’Sullivan and Andrew Charters of Grant Thornton UK LLP were appointed as Joint Administrators of S.D. Taylor Limited (‘the Company’) on 15 March 2022.

The Company traded as Loans at Home (‘LAH’) from various locations in the UK and provided lending services to the UK consumer market.

The Joint Administrators are now in full control of the business operations and will continue to trade the business in line with Government guidance as to COVID-19.

Following the appointment of the Joint Administrators:

  • There will be no new loan lending activity
  • All outstanding loans remain subject to the terms agreed with LAH and customers should continue to make payments in the usual way according to the LAH’s terms and conditions
  • Customers will continue to receive support and engagement from the LAH field agents to support collection of outstanding loan balances
  • The Customer Relationship Centre remains open to customers for continued support throughout the administration and all remote payment methods remain available to customers

The Company continues to be regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (‘FCA’) and the Joint Administrators are in contact with the FCA as appropriate.

The Joint Administrators will explore recovery options for creditors including an orderly wind down of the business over time and sale of the assets. The Joint Administrators will start the process of identifying all creditors, in accordance with their statutory obligations, and provide those creditors with information as to the potential for recoveries in the administration estate.

Customers who typically would pay their loan repayments via their field agent can continue to do so.

If your complaint relates to an affordability claim for a previous agreement, the Joint Administrators will be in touch in due course if you are required to submit a claim.
